Our farm is located at the base of Mt. Diablo in Walnut Creek, California. The farm is named after Bright Future, a purebred Arabian of Crabbet breeding who was purchased in 1977. The Crabbet influence is still strong in our breeding program. Crabbet horses are known for their athleticism , good dispositions, trainability and excellent action. With the newly formed Arabian Sport Horse division of USEF horses of Crabbet lineage are enjoying renewed popularity as they are excellent dressage horses both for Arabian and open competition. These horse have also been very successful in endurance which is rapidly growing internationally.

The stallions of Bright Future Farms are from proven performance bloodlines as well as having proven themselves under saddle. Pedigree is a still a major factor in our breeding program. Most of the mares are ridden and many have been shown. The focus is on sound minds, athletic ability and willingness to perform, as well as type(not necessarily of the kind that is seen in the Arabian halter classes today). Our goal is to produce sport horses concentrating on Arabians and infusing Arabian blood into warmbloods which has been done for many years in Europe. Arabians are known for their soundness, refining qualities as well as trainability.

In 2004 we began a warmblood breeding program in Germany using Oldenburg and Brandenburg horses. To date we have one Elite Oldenburg mare St.Pr. Leandra - Lafitte x Leonie by Rubinstein who has given us 3 premium foals to date, two filles by the 2004 and 2005 World Dressage Champion Florencio and a 2006 colt by Farewell III who was crowned the German Dressage Champion for 6 year old stallions in 2006. In addition, Samba Time, a 2004 Brandenburg colt sired by FEI dressage stallion Samba Hit I. Samba Time will remain in Germany for his performance testing in 2007. Our 2004 Florencio filly Leane is being prepared for the 2007 Oldenburg mare performance test in Vechta.
